Halloween in Ann Arbor is pretty cool along Main street.  This is a starter blog post for a shoot I’m doing this weekend.  The goal is to show the unique character of downtown Ann Arbor at night as businesses get into the halloween spirit.  I’ll be photographing it in my original Ann Arbor Nights style, which is to look for color, reflections and to create moody photos.  Could be a mix of artsy and photojournalistic-type shots.  Closeups and wide angles.  Will throw in some abstract shots too.  I don’t do HDR.  I like to find the scenes and shoot them in one shot, making only subtle adjustments to exposure afterwards in Photoshop.  Because to me the real magic is in finding and photographing the unique scenes, not it adding filters afterwards.
